Peaky Blinders 6 teases Stephen Graham’s clash with Shelbys

Peaky blinders spoilers follow.

Peaky blinders gave fans of the series a new teaser ahead of the highly anticipated new season.

In the short clip posted to social media, viewers can get an in-depth look at Stephen Graham in an as yet undisclosed role.

The Liverpudlian actor, known for his roles in Course of action and Boardwalk Empire, has joined the cast for this final season – and it looks like it won’t be on a friendly basis.

“I heard there were men here from Birmingham looking for me,” Graham’s character says in the video.

Sporting a pinstripe period costume, the man is next seen in a different outfit as he has an audience with Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy).

Graham’s focus on this one confirms, as previously reported, that his stint in Peaky blinders will have nothing to do with his previous role as gangster Al Capone in Boardwalk Empire.

Creator Stephen Knight shut down the possibility of having Al on the BBC show in 2019.

“I didn’t want to go west. Because it’s a minefield once you get into the Chicago gangsters. I’m referring to it the last set, but I didn’t want to go in there.” Knight said, speaking to the Obsessed with … Peaky Blinders Podcast.

The next season of Peaky blinders was anticipated by another teaser earlier this month, hinting at things going wrong for Tommy and the rest of his gang.

The clip contains a stern warning for Murphy’s character, courtesy of his sister and political adviser Ada (Mr. Jacquesby Sophie Rundle).

“Look good, Tom,” she said in the clip. “,

While an official release date has yet to be confirmed, could this also be a hint of a major clash with Graham’s character?

Peaky blinders Season 6 will air on BBC One in early 2022. Obsessed With… Peaky Blinders – hosted by Digital Spy editor-in-chief Laurence Mozafari – is available to listen to on BBC Sounds.
